  7.     It's the broccoli thing. GEORGE BUSH detests the vegetable
  8. and won't eat it on Air Force One or in the White House.
  9. Hearing of this, California broccoli growers sent ten tons to
  10. Washington last week. It's for a food bank, but two cartons are
  11. destined for the White House. Not even his redoubtable wife
  12. Barbara can educate the First Palate to Brassica oleracea
  13. italica. "My mother made me eat it," says Bush. "And I'm
  14. President of the U.S., and I'm not going to eat any more
  15. broccoli."
